Palm trees repeat across Los Angeles with such consistency that they begin to feel fixed—like a constant embedded in the landscape. This series questions that assumption. By isolating, compressing, and re-framing the same vertical form across shifting conditions—fog, distance, light, and time—the images track small deviations that accumulate into something less stable than expected. The trees remain, but their meaning shifts: from icon to pattern, from pattern to structure, from structure to abstraction. What appears uniform at a glance reveals itself, slowly, as contingent.
